What is a CPS race?
A CPS test measures you alone against a timer. A CPS race puts your clicks per second up against other racers at the same time: every click moves your car one step, and the first car to reach 100 clicks wins. The faster you click, the faster you drive.
It turns a number into a contest. You can see exactly who is pulling ahead, and a strong finish can still win a race you started slowly.
How to win a click speed race
A 100-click race takes most players 12 to 16 seconds, so it rewards a fast pace you can hold, not just a quick start. Get a clean first click on green, settle into your fastest steady rhythm, and save one last push for the final 20 clicks.
Space counts as a click, so some players alternate between the mouse and Space, or use two thumbs on a phone. Results that look scripted are moved to the separate Nitrous class, so you always race humans.
More ways to race
Want a shorter sprint or a longer endurance race? Click Race runs from 25 to 1,000 clicks. Rush Hour starts a big race every 15 minutes, Ranked matches you with players at your level for a season, and the daily Time Trial gives everyone the same course for 24 hours.
FAQ
Am I racing real people?
Yes, when other players are online they join your race live. When there are not enough people, AI racers fill the empty lanes and are always labelled as AI.
What CPS do I need to win?
In a 100-click race, 8 CPS finishes in 12.5 seconds and 10 CPS in 10 seconds. Against AI racers, around 8 CPS wins often; against fast players you need more.
Is it free?
Yes. Every mode is free in your browser, with no download.
